RECOMMENDATION: Specialist Maths is a difficult course, many schools attempt to reduce the workload in Y12 by introducing topics for Specialist in Year 11. My anecdotal evidence from student feedback is that Y12 Specialist Maths takes 2 to 3 times more work than Y12 Further Maths. Many students wished they had enrolled in Y12 Further Maths rather than Y12 Specialist Maths. So carefully consider what is best for you.
